The evening could have been a wash out, but fortunately we only had a passing shower that didn’t last too long. It did cause us to have a late start (8:30 pm), but the track turned out to be very nice and fast. We had some visitors stop by. They were “sailing” back from Oklahoma City to Tulsa and just so happened to stop at the track. At first, people were thinking they were there for the enduro race. They had quite an eye catching ship that they were driving and had no idea about the enduro race, they just wanted to stop in and they ended up taking a few laps before the races. It was quite a site.
We had some great feature races. Eric Barnes won his 5th A-feature of the year. The event that everyone was waiting for came after the A-features for the evening. It was the first Enduro race of 2009. There were only 14 cars in attendance, but they put on a great 100 lap show. The winners were from out of state. As a matter of fact they were from two states. They were the team of Tommy Lewis (Rogers, AR) and Darron Hixon (Powel, MO). Great job guys and hope to see you at the next Enduro Race later this year. I have included several pictures from the Enduro Race. I hope you enjoy them. Eddie Baugher, Track Photographer
